Carbon Sequestration Study for CRISIL Foundation
CERE has been appointed by CRISIL Foundation to determine the carbon sequestration potential of tree plantations they have carried out in 6 cities across India. In total 16,750 trees have been planted in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata.
CERE will be (a) geo-tagging trees at each plantation site across 6 cities to determine survival rates and species diversity, (b) undertake a study to determine the carbon sequestered by each plantation site and (c) certify the carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration potential of the afforestation drive undertaken by CRISIL Foundation.
