Program Manager for Veterinary Research to improve Wildlife Treatment and Management: A Mumbai-based candidate who has a passion for conservation and is interested in researching for Veterinary Education in order to improve Wildlife Management.
Assignments will include the tasks of (i) Research on present-day vet education and internship opportunities
(ii) Research gaps in the management of wildlife-related illnesses and other fatalities in sanctuaries and wildlife parks. (iii) Interview-based ground research with wildlife communities, sanctuary personnel and veterinary colleges. (iv) Ideation and research on various aspects related to tie-ups between Vet Colleges and Sanctuaries to improve facilities in such parks and simultaneously improve the skills of Vet Interns; (v) Exploring Fellowship opportunities for trainee vets to intern at sanctuaries and wildlife parks. The role will require some travel and fieldwork.
Applicants should have/be:
• A Master’s Degree in environmental studies or research work
• Prior experience in conducting research and report writing
• Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Capable of working independently on research projects
• Fluent in English with a strong command on vocabulary
