Commencement of Greywater Recycling Project at SRPF PTC, Nanvij, Pune

CERE is pleased to announce the launch of the Greywater Recycling Project at SRPF PTC in Nanvij, Pune, sponsored by Eternis Fine Chemicals. This initiative introduces a natural, decentralized wastewater treatment system using a reed-bed filtration method to sustainably treat bath water from the old hostels and barracks, as well as stagnant wastewater in low-lying areas across the campus. The treated water will be reused for tree plantation, helping prevent soil pollution and enhancing long-term environmental sustainability within the SRPF campus.
This project offers significant long-term benefits, including:
1) Sustainable water supply: Provides a reliale source of treated water even after the rainy season.
2) Cost-effective operation: Reduces dependence on freshwater and lowers overall water management costs.
3) Environmental impact: Minimizes water wastage and pollution through effective treatment and reuse.
Overall, this initiative marks a meaningful step towards circular water management and improved sustainability across the SRPF campus.
